What is Holi, and Why Melbourne Loves It?

Holi is one of the most recognized Hindu festivals of colours held throughout India. It commemorates god over evil as well as the change of seasons between winter and spring.
At home Holi is a festival. People of all denominations, religions, caste, orientations and political spectra celebrated by praying around a bonfire in a post-sunset, singing, dancing and smearing themselves with colours.
We will have TWO massive complete family events which will be open to all to experience the tastes, sounds and culture and arts of the Indians residing in Australia – Live Music, Dance and a sea of colours!
Our backdrop will be Melbourne CBD Skyline and Bolte Bridge and it will be happening against that backdrop!
We are looking forward to collaborating with everyone in order to make this a success.
