This spring the pet community in Melbourne is set to treat themselves with the revival of The Great Pet-Together at Ballam Park, Frankston. Families, friends and their furry (and not so furry) companions will come together on Sunday 12 October 2025 to laugh, wag their tails and build community.

The combination of the most energetic dachshund races and yoga with baby goats is an event that combines the best of the active and energetic community atmosphere in Melbourne with the unending happiness of animals. It is not only dog owners who will enjoy it either, but pet enthusiasts of all types (and spots) will find something to do.

What’s On – Event Highlights & Schedule

Here’s what you can expect at The Great Pet-Together 2025:

• Wag & Walk with Ray White Langwarrin (10:30am)
  Start the day by strolling through Ballam Park alongside fellow dog owners in a relaxed community walk. It’s a great way to socialise (for both humans and dogs!).
  
• Scratch Competition Arena
  This is where the fun really begins. Expect a rotating program of competitions, including:
  
  • Dachshund Races — short legs, big energy, and loads of cheering.
    
  • Pup-Cup Eating Contest — watch pups put their snouts to the test.
    
  • Pet Costume Parade — from superhero dogs to princess cats, creativity is encouraged.
